Energy Storage and Microgrids: Power to the Prosumer?
Please join us for our next event Energy Storage and Microgrids: Power to the Prosumer? presented by Mark Tocock. Emerging energy storage and Microgrid technologies are enabling prosumers to invest in the ability to have more control over their energy bills. When combined with existing distributed generation production, such as solar panels and wind turbines, the economic incentives flowing from these investments present a favourable alternative to the status quo. Uptake of these technologies will have welfare implications for both prosumers, consumers and producers. Discussion of these implications, as well as what role government policy can play is the subject of this presentation. Mark is currently a PhD Candidate with the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, UTas.
