History of ESA
At over 100 years old, ESA is one of the oldest non-profit organisations in Australia.
Governance and TAS Branch Council Members
The Economic Society of Australia (Tasmania Branch) Inc. (ESA-TAS) is one of seven state/territory based branches which comprise the Economic Society of Australia (the Society). As a federation of regional groups, the Society is united by a Central Council made up of 12 individuals; seven state-based presidents, two national editors and a three-member executive team (President, Secretary and Treasurer). The Central Council publishes two journals (Economic Record and Economic Papers).
The Mardi Dungey Scholarship
The Mardi Dungey Scholarship was established as a tribute to eminent Tasmanian economist Professor Mardi Dungey.
The successful applicant will receive $5000 in their first year of study as well as a one year membership to the Economic Society of Australia.
