The Productivity Commission is seeking skilled research economists at a number of levels in Canberra and Melbourne.
The Productivity Commission is the Australian Government's independent research and advisory body on a range of economic, social and environmental issues affecting the welfare of Australians. Its role, expressed simply, is to help governments make better policies in the long-term interest of the Australian community.
We are seeking skilled research economists at a number of levels in our Canberra and Melbourne offices. These positions offer the opportunity to work in a stimulating policy research environment undertaking economic analysis and providing policy advice. The work is wide-ranging, including analysis of regulation, trade, productivity, economic infrastructure, resources, social issues and the environment.
A merit pool of suitable candidates at each level will be established, and may be used to fill similar vacancies in either Melbourne or Canberra, either on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis.
